I have dealt with 3 dealers over 8 years, but. Gateway Toyota was the least impressive. Sherwood Park Toyota (where I bought vehicle) and Orleans dealership (in Ontario for my CRV) were both more responsive and accommodating. I had booked a service time, but was kept waiting more than 15 minutes to check in (if there is a slow line, I find it!). Knowingly let my son and I drive 250km to view and test drive a vehicle only to inform us “Oh… that one’s not driveable as is, that’s why the price was good” when we walked in the door. Seemed like a classic bait and switch. They either have no idea what they’re doing or they really don’t care about you, your time or your money. Not sure which is worse. 1/10…. Would not recommend.
Kyla was amazing! I was standing in the service lobby unnoticed, Kyla came from break and acknowledged me and got my service needs addressed right away. The rest of staff ignored my presence, training is required related to customer service.

We bought a vehicle from Gateway Toyota Dec 9 2022, we were told that we have to trade in a vehicle in order to get new vehicle. So we decided to trade in truck Chevy Silverado 2018. We had to get OPI for the trade vehicle as it was from out of province. Dealership told us that we can’t pick the new vehicle until we drop the trade in vehicle. Just over two years ago (Sept 2020) I signed a contract with Gateway to purchase a RAV4. I put down a deposit and waited patiently. In late March I was called and told that my vehicle would be in in mid April by the sales manager Rick Janes. I then went early April in and put an additional deposit down. Brought my 2022 4Runner for detailing as part of my package. Extremely disappointed, as no one told me it was a very basic package, as in they wiped down the interior with an already used dusty rag. The windows were still dirty , the seats and they didn't even touch the back of the vehicle. After I brought up that it was still dirty they advised me everything was extra cost...... I felt I wasted my time completely I could of done what they did. Not impressed at all. they lack communication.

The modern embodiment of everything that is wrong with car dealerships. They do not care about repeat customers. Creating false documents is not beneath them. Caveat emptor and learn from my own poor judgement in choosing to buy or lease here.
