Venza Service As has been the case in the past, the service was excellent. I do have to mention specifically the support I received from Jason (356)on the Service Desk and also the technician Kyle (174) who went out of his way to identify and correct the problem. Although I live in Port Hope Ont. I always bring the car back to North Bay Toyota - I have family in town - as I receive such good service there. I’ve purchased a used 2010 Toyota Avalon. This vehicle is fairly unique (Autotrader.ca reveals a total of 6 in the country) and I had to take a bus from Ottawa to see it. With the long distance travel and inability to see the vehicle in-person come a lot of complications with the purchase process. Roberto Tignanelli was my sales person. I had an excellent experience with North Bay Toyota, especially dealing with YVONNE O'CONNOR. I had called our local Toyota dealer in Sudbury, and their approach was typical car salesmen's. It was hard to deal with anyone, including the Manager. I had my vehicle in for service due to a noise. Received a call that the truck was all ready to go. I asked the caller what had come of the diagnostics and was told I needed a new rear differential. This was quite the shocker as it's a very uncommon issue for a vehicle that's under 6 years old. I asked for additional information but nothing was provided at the time. I was very disappointed with service interactions and the timing for the maintenance on my vehicle. This is not the first time this happens. I understand that there are sometimes extenuating circumstances that cause delays. In such cases, I appreciate being kept informed which I was not. Also, I was not greeted well as had been the case some years back. The staff seem less concerned with its customers and their time. I paid $260. for my car to have an oil change, and multiple point inspection. I asked if the filters ould be checked, and was told yes. Yet my cabin filter was falling apart and coverd in dirt after the work was done. They also didn't change the air intake filter. I talked to someone about it, and was told they would make it right. Now I'm told that if I buy the filters they will change them. Not a good way to keep people comming back!
- When I arrived I was told I didn't have an appointment. - When toyota finally found my scheduled appointment, they told me it would be $270ish dollars. I was told the oil change is not covered. I told them it was free as part of the deal when we bought the vehicle. We were give four free service visits which include at least one oil change. Let me first say the service people are great. But, when you have to wait almost 1 month for a normal service appointment, there is something fundamentally wrong with how your system is working.... I dont know how to fix it, the people who work there know, talk to them and fix it.
