Very disappointed with how my situation was handled at South Pointe Toyota. I noticed a scratch and small dent immediately after my vehicle was returned from service. There was no walk-around inspection with me at drop-off and no signed damage report. I communicated directly with General Manager Brian Schmidt regarding this issue, however responsibility for the damage was denied based on photos taken without me present. Extremely disappointed with South Pointe Toyota. I was promised complimentary oil changes when I purchased my 2010 Toyota Corolla. The first one was honored, then they changed the rules. I was later told I must pay for a vehicle inspection before they would provide the promised oil change — something that was never part of the original agreement. Recently visited this dealership and had a SUPER BAD experience. Was just inquiring about the price of an vehicle, but the sales guy jumped into a full-on deal mode, Went back and forth OVER 20 TIMES trying to close the deal. Most dishonest Toyota dealer in Canada. I put a deposit to buy a Toyota grand highlander with them 2 years ago and did not get a delivery time after 2 years putting down a deposit. they probably sold it for higher price to some one else. Constant lying by sales manager Howard and salesman Alex.. The sales man is worst I have seen. He lacks knowledge and professionalism. I called owner many times but he didn’t answer my calls.

Shortly after a routine service at South Pointe Toyota, one of my wheels completely detached while driving. They said it was because I didn’t come back for a re-torque, but I was never verbally informed that a re-torque was required — it was only mentioned in fine print on the invoice. In my nine years of Toyota service, I have never once been told about this. I would be very interested to hear if others have had similar experiences.

This is a warning to anyone buying a new Toyota, specifically dealing with this dealership, it's service manager Micheal Menear, and it's GM Brian Schimidt, and also Toyota Canada. Will not refund deposit and cannot factory order! I had previously purchased two trucks from South Pointe, but this was before Rishi worked there. In my opinion, one might want to look at older positive reviews of this dealership with a grain of salt. Placed a deposit in 2023 for a vehicle. Salesperson explained verbally that given the wait time (2+ years) they couldn’t guarantee a price then but it would be MSRP plus the standard dealer fees.
