Terrible experience with Vinay and this dealership. Made us travel one hour for a car that was no longer on the lot to try to upsell us on another car. No regard for our time. In fact, called to see if we were still coming knowing this in advance.

I bought a Pre-order car, informed me at beginning will take 3 to 4 months. Sales person tried to convince me to take warranty insurance $1,499 to extend it from 60K to 80K (3 years) giving many kinds of excuses such as your car will come faster. When I refused it, paid $500 advance payment, and signed the sales agreement, they told me will take 8 to 12 months.

Never in my life we experienced such a poor customer service and ugly treatment as in this dealership. It started with the lease buyout when their sales person Sergei Zavtur tried to convince our elderly father to get into new lease because his 50k km Rav4 is in "poor technical condition" and needs repairs of 2,700 cad. Our test drive and purchase experience at Thornhill Toyota was fine. However, once we had the car a week or so we began noticing an order of cigarette smoke. As we started using the A/C the odor became very strong. On our own, we tried various deodorizers and cleaners and changed the cabin filter to no avail. Don’t recommend this store for RAV4 buyers. I hear no response back from for 4-5 months. At least they won’t give proper information when called the agent and the store many times. Crazy situation up here. They don’t even have a vehicle for show casing. I’d definitely not go here if I wanted to purchase a Toyota again. I will quote the names of the agent and their boss’s name - if I don’t get treated well here after.
