I have been a customer for over 25 years & NEVER again! I brought a demo that I found out after purchase had been incorrectly towed , front body plugs missing, holes no longer round & subsequent rusting ... all this on a 2021 model with extremely low kms. The dealership ( Ian Hunter GM ) refuses to accept any responsibility. I strongly recommend that you do not even put a step over the door way!
Wow I’m disappointed, I drive a Toyota Tacoma that I purchased from the Kingston dealer. It’s no secrete that Toyota vehicles are top notch. However Kingston Toyota has let me down on several recent occasions. My family alone has purchased over 10 new vehicles and trucks from Kingston and most recently in April I purchased a 2021 rav-4. We were given many promises to push us in the direction of buying this car. Some promises where a cargo box to be included in the price as well as the winter mats. When we went to pick up the... read more
Salesman was fine but the finance guy was far from honest. Someone removed the locknuts from the vehicle before delivery. Will not recommend or return. Vehicle wasn’t ready and was forced to take delivery on their schedule.
My own experience was extremely poor, disorganized and lacked customer service and attention. Think twice about giving your service at Kingston Toyota. We won’t be back. Will travel to another city to buy or to get our Toyota serviced.
Still waiting on Kingston Toyota to get the parts that were back ordered when I bought my brand new truck. I’ve never had such a hard time with a company ever. They don’t seem to care that one of their clients has been without parts they paid for for coming on 2 years !!!! When I purchased my truck there was a note in the glove box explaining that a handful of parts were missing due to supply shortages. I had no problems as I figured they’d be along before to long. These parts are standard equipment nothing fancy or special.... read more
Worst experience ever buying a vehicle. Bought a 2019 tundra to be picked up a week later, never cleaned inside or out. Smelt like old gym socks and dog all through the cab. Box of truck had mud in it and stains all over the seats! How the truck ever passed a safety certification with a broken stabilizer that made the truck turn right without holding the wheel, I ll never know. They are liars, and crooks. They ripped me off on parts that were supposed to come with the purchase and never delivered. The new ownership is worse ... read more
Don’t shop for a new car at Kingston Toyota. The sales associate will try to coerce you into a new car without providing any pertinent details, like finance rates or trade-in value. When I requested this information, the sales associate became quite rude and belligerent. When I insisted on a breakdown, they indicated it was confidential information and could not leave the showroom. They forced me to wait unnecessarily, and repeatedly asked, “do you want the truck or not?” I’m not one to be badgered. Sincerely, taking my busi... read more
Terrible accounting service Leasing a RAV4 hybrid 4years ago was fast, friendly...perfect! Waiting for more than one month for service was not that good. But when was the time to buy it at the end of the lease, we had opposite information about how would the security deposit be given back to us: one people saying that Toyota would send us a check (around 5000$) after we would have paid the full amount requested, another one saying it should have been subtracted from this amount! We had a lot of phone calls, nobody calling ba... read more
Service Department This was my first experience with Kingston Toyota after I bought a used Corolla from Kingston Dodge. I thought it would be a good idea to get Toyota "experts" to do the service and it was due for an oil change. The SRS air bag light had come on so I asked them to look at it. They said it was a $100 diagnosis fee, pretty steep I thought but I just wanted it fixed. They called me 3 hours later to inform me that they had spent an hour reading the codes, taking the bumper off to access the sensor and looking a... read more
