It's been a difficult decision to write this review. I'm a big fan of Toyota cars in general, but I'm not a fan of how the team at Destination Toyota Burnaby has handled our families situation. $350 for safety check - bare wire and cable covers needed not mentioed or fixed / air conditioning not working / regassed for $150 and still didn't work / said it would be over $2000 to fix / found mechanic who said bearings were shot (first thing your mechanics should have checked before regassing) / He found part and job was fixed for $400 / wanted to have you as a go to, but clearly can't trust your work or your upselling tactics / sorry

On Feb 01, 2023, I sent my Toyota Prius Prime Upgrade for an estimate on the bottom of the vehicle for damages due to car sliding to side of the road. The car was drivable and engine was in good condition. After the inspection and estimate was completed, I noticed there was an error message on the display "Grille Shutter Inoperative." with a malfunction sign and a yellow "i" sign. From the island and our 2021 Highlander hybrid died in New West. Westminster Toyota was useless ( couldn’t get us in for a month) so that was not going to help so we called Destination and they said they would look at it between jobs. Then they called today and changed their story. If they would have told us yesterday that we couldn’t be helped, we would have tried elsewhere. Garbage service. I remember when Toyota was a great brand. So far less than impressed with the BC dealerships.

Send my 2018 Sienna to fix a noise coming from the draw door on the driver side. Problem was specifically stated but after 4 hours ($377), the sound came back after half hour of driving. Asked the service what they have done, she said it was hard to track the noise as there were lots of sound in that vehicle. After testing the vehicle with another mechanic, the vehicle was fixed, another 3.5 hours, with a lengthy report with basically voice down to lube and tightening of door latches and hinges. Unprofessional staff - I had a disappointing experience with Toyota destination so I'd like to share it. I submitted a trade in appraisal for my car and a day after, I received an email from "Dave" who proposed me to book a test drive for RAV4. I asked him if it's possible for me to book for the same day at 5:30 pm and he was like "absolutely". I finished my job earlier in order to be able be there on-time.
