Upper James toyota helps me to find the car which suits me the best, honestly. And I do appreciate the salesman who help me find out the best car, we've been looked at a couple of cars and I almost give up, but apparently there are more.
Service manager is a hack. Front end service people are worse. Refused to escalate or resolve issue. Notice they sit almost 20 spots below my new normal dealership so my experiences are not unique.
Terrible sales staff,management, lies, miscommunications, lacking customer service skills and overall bad service! There are many dealers to choose from. Go elsewhere.
My worst experience so far at a dealership ever! The only cherry on top of this disparaging experience was that the receptionist was the sweetest person we’ve met at any dealership. After waiting a good 30 mins and being offered the best customer experience by the receptionist, we were treated to a distrait agent who was in least concerned in treating us with minimum curtesy. Unfortunately, just because a business is ‘local’ or ‘family owned’ does not always mean it is a business you should support. The events that transpired while purchasing a new vehicle at Upper James Toyota, which is owned by Parkway Motors Hamilton, can be considered deplorable at best. My 85 year old mother took her Toyota in for service today. 12,000 k and they had to “clean” her brakes and did other work that was not necessary.. I would NEVER buy or have a car serviced there. Horrible!!! Absolutely unconscionable.
Mislead and Overcharge for service We left our lease Toyota Corolla - 2017 for service 3 which was expected to cost around 200$. We were mislead and ended up paying 800$. I recommend everyone to be very cautious when using this dealer for service
Parts not helpful compared with Ancaster Toyota Asked at the parts counter for a 2011 Lexus gas cap today. They told me they could not look up the part number on the computer, suggested I called Lexus myself and then come back to them with the part number . I then stopped by Ancaster Toyota parts department who picked up the phone to Lexus, gave them my model and year and got the parts number straight away. Let Down Hard Bought a brand new Tacoma, I picked it up in December and they had left it in the lot for a few days so there was snow and ice all over it. Thought it was strange that they wanted me to pick it up after 5:00pm also. Realized the next day when I washed the car myself, WHY they left it covered in snow and ice and wanted me to pick it up after dark.
