My Strickland Experience My wife wanted a 2017 Tacoma but we decided to check out the 2016's. My wife researched the truck on numerous websites, and we came across Stricklands. I called at 5:30 Pm and spoke to Bob. Bob said to us that if we drove the 3 hours return trip from Burlington to Stratford that we would get at least $2000.00 off that day. Overpriced, Questionable Sales Tactics Whether its true or not, the salesperson advised me that the car went to auction and I need to put down a deposit over the phone without even seeing the car. The car is used, it is what it is....if you want to see it I need a deposit to bring it back from the auction ...of course non refundable. Zero transperancy I'm still at a loss as to why I could only have the carproof documents AFTER I buy the car. I need this information WHILE I'm shopping around for cars. Carproof is useless to me once I buy the car from you. Showing me the carproof for 30 seconds and asking for it back doesn't give me any confidence in the fact that you're disclosing everything. Waste of time I have been shopping for a usedtruck for 8 months and saw one online at Stricklands. Nick Roth responded to my email fairly quickly and sent me some pictures and answered some questions. Specifically I asked if there was any rust on the vehicle. He responded with 'just on the tailgate and a little on the rear wheel wells'. So I made the 2.5 hour drive out with a friend. THE TRUCK WAS COMPLETELY RUSTED OUT!!! It was basically scrap! Cocky salesman & terrible trade I realize that Toyota is a good quality vehicle manufacturer, that is why I was there. If I am going to spend my hard earned money somewhere I want to be treated with respect and courtesy. This was not the case here. I made 2 trips and got the same salesman both times. He was very cocky both times and made us feel like he was doing us a favour by allowing us to buy a vehicle there. He also gave us a terrible trade in price. Buyer beware. Pushy and unprofessional I was interested in a Fiat 500 and emailed requesting more information, requesting that they only email me due to travelling for work so often.
